Information We Collect
PlainSchools does not collect personal information. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting techniques.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool, to understand general usage patterns (page views, referral sources, device types). This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual visitors. No personal data is stored or transmitted to third parties.
Data Processing
All school data is sourced from publicly available federal datasets (NCES CCD). No user data is processed or stored on our servers. Search queries are processed at the edge and are not logged.
Theme Preference
Your light/dark theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
Third-Party Services
PlainSchools is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect minimal connection data as described in their privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
PlainSchools does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
